“I started out fixing my friends’ cars and then went to school for auto mechanics. After finishing my education, I went to work for an auto repair company that eventually moved to California. Although they offered me a job, I told my wife I wanted to be independent and not have to rely on someone else’s decisions when it came to my future and my family’s stability. In other words, I wanted to stay in Chicago! I found my shop on the corner of Augusta and Paulina, and now I’ve been in business since May of 1987.
